Arachnophobia, anyone?

Apparently Guillermo del Toro isn't just the writer/director/creator of Pan's Labyrinth (see it if you haven't already), he's also Mother Nature and the architect of my nightmares.. behold, a tarantula infected with Cordyceps, a fungus that replaces its host's tissue with its own. Oh, and the fungus also has mind-control capabilities. Just in case everything in this photo wasn't terrifying enough.
